What a great first effort. Skye is tough, caring, and likeable, the cast of supporting characters is colorful and fun, and the action never stops. The book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, so I'm assuming this is the first in a series - Ms Litteral, please do keep writing. :)

This had just the right mix, Something a little different in a genre I enjoy. The ending was not so much of a cliffhanger to me as it was another reviewer. To me it's just that there is more to be told and I look forward to that read in the near future.
Wow what a good read. Great characters, well written and full of action. Just enough naughty to keep one hanging on... and that is no way to end a book without having the next one available. I am really looking forward to book 2.
It was simply okay, nothing special. I was cringing the whole time I read it and was so glad when I was done with it. The only reason I even finished it was because I loathe leaving a book unfinished.
This was a surprising little gem of a story with a surprisingly well developed plot. There is a lot of room for a potential series here. I enjoyed the characters and the writing (only a couple of typos that didn't disturb the flow of reading). Skye is a vampire that has been running from assassins, the plot is well thought out and not too complex, but it keeps you reading to see what will happen next. I like this author and will definitely be looking out for other books by her. This book is reasonably priced and a fun read.
A new vampire runs into a human man who has suffered the loss of his vampire sister and her friend. Skye doesn't want to be around a human because she is constantly being tracked down by assassins trying to kill her but Ryan is good looking and caring.
Ryan proves just how worthy he is after saving Skye's life more than once. They teem up to find out what happened to Ryan's sister and use the help of a good friend of Skye's and a good looking council member to try and stop the attacks against Skye.
This was a fast paced book, and I breezed right through it. Grabbed my attention from the beginning. Easy writing style. Surprisingly capable editing. Good character development. World building was doled out nicely as the plot unfolded. Lots of action and some good romance. Sexual content there but not overly explicit.
I could have wished that the human Ryan wasn't so wishy-washy; but I suspect that all is not what it seems to be with that guy. I liked the Council Member Gabriel, he seemed like a complicated character. I enjoyed the Heroine, Skye, as she was strong and independent without being too overwhelming. Seems like an intriguing love triangle to be explored (hopefully) in future books.
The dialogue needs a little polish, as it seemed awkward on occasion. The ending was OK, leaving the potential open for further books. Would I re-read? No. Would I read a sequel? Yes.
Fast paced is Bite! Like a sweet piece of chocolate one tries to savor slowly, you find it's all gone and you want more! Well I want more, of Skye's story! She's fun, a young one, irreverent and on the run! She has a power others fear and want to control, or kill her for! So hang on and enjoy this BITE!
