EXCERPT 1
As I know that Matt is tired, I find an excuse to leave without having dessert. During the trip back, I can't stop myself from mentioning, "For a second there, I thought you weren't very talkative because you had a fight with Moira."
"Or rather, you hoped that I had a fight with Moira."
"What? Not at all," I protest. "I have no problem with her."
He turns and touches my nose. "No, it hasn't grown, and to think that I counted on the story of Pinocchio being real."
I can't help but laugh. "OK, I can't pretend that she holds a special place in my heart, but to be fair, I've only seen her once."
"I imagine that she dethroned Vanessa on the list of your enemies," he jokes.
"In my defense, she's the one who started looking me up and down coldly."
"While of course, you're purely innocent."
"Matt. I didn't do anything to provoke her. Maybe you can explain to me why she doesn't like me?"
"I'd rather not get into that kind of discussion."
EXCERPT 2
"Just My Luck, exchanging your life with someone," continues Carrie.
"Mm, I like this idea. With whom? You maybe."
"Do you really want to spend your days in a kitchen under incredible heat?"
"Not really. However, I could take the seat of a chairman."
I give a side look to Matt who hastens to react, "Not in your wildest dreams. Your last visit to my office definitely wasn't a bed of roses."
"You're exaggerating."
"Of course I am," he mocks.
"I assure you that you'd love working in the bookstore."
"There's no way you're dragging me into this."
Carrie keeps giving movie titles when Matt stops her. "Read the last one out again."
"Romancing the Stone?"
"Exactly. One of my favorite movies."
"Mine too!" we say in unison.
"You see?"
"See what? Do you want me to go to South America to get killed by criminals in the jungle?"
"Don't get my hopes up."

I absolutely love this series. The characters are well written. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the final result. I fell into this story at the beginning and I would recommend this series to anyone who loves romance and laughing.
Ok I got the first one free from a give away. That said since then with a 3yr old boy who goes non stop I have managed to read the first 2 books in 2 days! Just saying. It's sweet and unexpectedly predictable in a good way. The characters are amazing and it makes u laugh and cry and your heart skips a beat. It's just like any one of the movies she immulates. I love this series.

I laughed, teared up, sighed, & became upset! This wonderful story is the second book of My Romantic comedy Interlude. The first was a blast, but the second was even Better! I can't give away the story. ...you'll have to trust me when I say how fun it has been to follow Erin in her quest to find Prince Charming. This is good clean fun. Highly recommended.
My review is generalized as I hate spoilers. I don't even read the backs of story summaries whether it be books or movies so I've attempted to give a review that is helpful, but not mention the characters or story scenes.
I found the writing style quite interesting for a romantic comedy as well as the story line, The series so far has a nice flow too. I would love this series even more if there was no profanity, albeit there is little, and if the relationships were based on biblical principles. Yes, I realize it isn't listed as Christian Romance, but those are my thoughts and wanted to share. Nonetheless, I do appreciate there is no outright vulgarity. The first two books are more or less cliffhangers, but not totally ridiculous ones like you find with some.
"Erin not only believes in fairy tales, it pushes her to be independent—sometimes more than reasonably so--" Mary Kelly has a very good 2nd book in "My romantic Comedy". Some may find it funny but to be honest Erin makes me take deep breathes. I could not function with what goes on in her head. At least I can see some maturity blossoming. This man has to have the patience of one who loves completely and confidently because he still likes her and kids with her and plays games with her and pushes her while listening to her dishonest answers. I don't know why she is frightened of being alone, abandoned but she drives herself with insecurities To Find Her Prince. Angst of course but more than 1 Happy Ending. Book 3 must be Erin's happy ending because of the title. Oh but what will she put everyone through to get there.?
Content Moderate (no sex, but a lot of the book is her sister encouraging her to sleep with someone, which she doesn’t)
Ending remember this is book 2 in a series- so a satisfying ending and leaves you looking forward to the next one!!
Review this really should be made into a tv series! There are so many “episodes” and your favorite boy (Matt) comes and goes like the feel of a tv series while she tries to figure out her mind. The first half the book was frustrating because you just want to smack Erin and say stop being dumb!!!! However I think she is totally realistic!! I savored every moment with Matt! I kind of think he’s better than her now though... she might not deserve him anymore. However she is redeeming herself towards the end!! I can see growth in her! I LOVED the surprise trip he took her on, so sweet! I also love that he isn’t rushing anything. He’s waiting for her to figure out her mind- I mean hello it’s been 2 years now!!! I loved their Christmas and now i’m So excited for the next one to see how it all comes together!
When I got the end of the first book I was so anxious to see how things would be progressing for Erin in book two and honestly, I’m shocked by the recent change of events. Mary Kelly’s writing is incredible and you can’t help but get sucked into reading her work and hanging onto every single word that has been written. A lot happens in this book and at times I found myself thinking to myself that I just wanted to be there with the characters and tell them how things were. When an author manages to get that reaction from a reader just from reading their work, then you know that they’ve done a good job, especially if they can get you wanting to shout at the characters.
I can say that when you start reading this book, you’ll be shocked at what is beyond the first few pages, but it’s nice to hear from both Julia and Carrie as to what’s been happening over the past 6 months as in the first book we only had a little snippet at the end of each chapter. Don’t worry, I know that you are all wondering if we get to hear the rest of the story from Erin’s point of view… You do, and I think you may be surprised but also see little bits happening. Although, what I will say that Erin has decided that she has given up on looking for her prince charming, but the others try and convince her too, but whether she caves is another question, but I think that you should go ahead and pick up this book in order to find out for yourself.
